Well - didn't we have a nice lunch?! We were all relatively well behaved and very much enjoyed our two-for-a-tenner lunch at The Duke of Cumberland but were having such a nice time laughing at Jo shaking the vinegar over her steak and chips, not realising she'd taken the whole lid off rather than revealing the little shaky thingy, that we forgot to take a photo - hey ho! Good job it won't be the last time we go and enjoy such things together! Thanks also to Claire for hosting us for post-luncheon beverages! Much appreciated!
So, one more coffee and muffin stop before Christmas! What's the flavours to be next week? - answers on a postcard or email...
Here's the recipe for the marvels Jo produced this morning, but I think probably the less said about the mince pie muffins, the better - not one of my better creations! They were better warm, but for Pete not to actually finish it - hmmm!
So - back to the countdown - we've got lots of fabby family things going on over the festive season (as you might expect from a church!), all of which you're welcome to. We'll have fliers at The Early Shift next week, but if you can't wait - see the flier on the far right of the home page of this website. Of particular interest to you might be our gift-wrapping/cake decorating/mulled wine drinking women's extravaganza (well it's called something like that!) next Saturday (18th) and our traditional candlelight carol service the following day and then the lovely crib service for 8 year-olds and under on Christmas Eve! Ask Rachel or Jo for more info!
